What do people read in your email AFTER the subject line?

Carlene Kelsey

You know that most people will read the subject line first and then decide if they are going to open your email, right?

Guess what 79% of the people read next…..and you probably are not taking this as that serious…..

The P.S.

That’s right, your Postscript is the second most important part of your email communication!

So…. What can you post in your P.S. that will make the most of your communication:

  1. Add value in the form of a bonus or special discounted offer
  2. Pre-sell an upcoming event. i.e. “Keep an eye out for our upcoming Masterclass…”
  3. A quick recap of the email content
  4. Use this as a quick Call to Action. e. “Join Today.” Or “Start your free trial now!”
  5. Ad a glowing client testimonial related to the email content product or service.

I know there are many other ways to use this real-estate.  But I learned this from a very successful copywriter and I will never send out an email without a P.S. from now on.

So…. How do you use the P.S. area in your emails?  Comment and let me know.
