Long Tail Keywords and Why You Should Use Them
Generally speaking, they have lower search volumes, and you can therefore rank for them easier.
True they are searched less often, but added together with 2 or 3 key word search terms(head terms), they make up a large percentage of overall searches.
Here are some examples:
marketing agency
marketing expert
Long tail Keywords:
Content marketing for LinkedIn
Content marketing strategies for business coaches
These long tail keywords are long and specific. When you use the Long Tail Keywords on your website, it will be easier to rank on the search engines.
Here’s a real example:
Content Marketing 5,140 billion searches
Content Marketing for Realtors 20.5 million searches
As you can see that’s considerably fewer sites you will be competing with to rank on the first page of Google.
This also means that if you are running paid Google Ads, you will get more bang for your advertising buck and the long tail keywords will cost you less in ad dollars.
It’s easy to find Long Tail Keywords in Google
