What You Need To Know About FB & IG Learning Phase

Carlene Kelsey

Each new Ads Manager Ad or Boosted Post Ad must go through the Learning Phase. It’s a period of time that the delivery system takes to know the ad and discover whom to show it to.

If you have a current ad running, and you make a significant edit to it, the ad will go back through the Learning Phase.

You may see this Title in your Ads Manager Deliver Column: Learning. Once your ad gets 50 optimization events i.e. video view, link clicks, lead form completed etc. Whatever your goal is or objective you chose, then your ad is out of the learning phase.
This usually can take 5-7 days.

Learning phase Best Practices

1. Wait until your ad is out of the learning phase to make any edits.
2. Avoid unnecessary edits that would cause the ad to go back into the learning phase.
3. Avoid creating many ads and ad sets in one campaign.
4. Use realistic and recommended budgets for your objective.

Remember, you need to get 50 optimization events to get out of the Learning phase.

About Learning Limited
